About RFSL Gävleborg

RFSL Gävleborg is an independent branch of RFSL -The Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Rights. The branch has about 150 members.

RFSL Gävleborg is a nonprofit branch run by us activists. Together we work to create activities create activities and events. There are lots of exciting projects to get involved in and an opportunity to meet new interesting people!

OUR BRANCH IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF ACTIVITY:

• Social activity
  Like café nights, parties, pride and other social events that members are interested in.

• Information activities
  For example information about LGBTQ issues at schools and in society in general.
  Information on safer sex and sexually transmitted diseases.

• Supporting activities
  For example identity strengthening social activities, support for asylum seekers, telephone counselling etc.

• Political activities
  Political advocacy for raising the awareness of LGBTQ issues in politics and improve the lives of LGBTQ people in society.
